Counseling is one of those unique experiences where you are in control. This can be an especially powerful experience for someone who feels out of control most of the time.
It is a place where you can be who you truly are. If you're angry, counseling is a place you can yell, scream and curse about your experiences. If you're sad, it's a place you can sit and cry it out.
Whatever you need, and whoever you are, it's a place to take off the mask and just BE YOU.
I've been working with youth and their families since 2007. After several years of working in agency, school, group home and residential settings, Mallory started her private practice in 2014 where she provides individual counseling services for tweens, teens and young adults struggling with anxiety and other big emotions. She has training and experience in providing CBT, DBT, and TF-CBT therapies.
In addition to providing outpatient counseling in her private practice, Mallory also works per diem as a Clinical Social Worker for Yale New Haven Hospital's Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency Psychiatric Services. She is also available to speak on topics related to teen mental health treatment.
