Setting Goals and Developing Treatment Plans in Therapy

As a mental health therapist, I take a collaborative approach to creating treatment plans with my clients. We meet quarterly to review our progress and check in if the focus of our sessions needs to change, or if we've reached the point where the original reason for seeking treatment has resolved. I've found that setting goals can be quite difficult at times because it can be hard to articulate what it is we really want to work on in therapy. Check out the blog I wrote for Good Therapy to help with this process.
